I have been to cinema yesterday to watch the animation movie "Wallace & Gromit in The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit".

Go to see that picture and I assure you, you will not regret it! Well, I have been amused very well and very much. And I am sure, no one leaves the cinema with a bad feeling after this funny movie.

Okay, I have already been a fan of the three short movies with Wallace and Gromit. But it is always a risk to produce a movie of a successful series, as you can see for example with "Mr. Bean". That cinema movie was aweful compared with the excellent TV-series.

But with Wallace & Gromit it couldn't screw up, already the movie "Chicken Run" from the same producers has been good. And again there were a some movie-quotes again - this time you could recognize "King Kong", "American Werewolf" and "Godzilla".

I enjoyed the time in the cinema and all the other children and their parents, too. Finally a good movie for young and old! Very funny, very recommendable!

Well, the last days I have a little bit informed and read about the multiplayer-online-game "World of Warcraft". And I have not become enthusiatic about it.

So, my enthusiasm for computer-games has become rather low within the last months anyway, I play very rarely. Some years ago I spent much more time with playing them and I enjoyed it. Especially the games of the "Myst"-series I liked very much and even bought them. I like games, where you have to use your brain, which have a story and have fantastic graphics.

But "World of Warcraft"?! I read some user-reviews andthere is said, that it isn't so good at all. It's just a hype about it. There are only 60 levels, which you will reach very fast and easily. After it, you don't really have to do anything anymore. The quests are almost the same - beat some enemy or find some thing. They say, it's rather boring. And what I don't like is, you have to spend just a lot of time for making progress. Time for walking, going, walking. The screenshots, I saw, are too colorful...not what I think of an appropiate atmosphere. But my biggest critic of it is the price! For all this, you first have to buy the game for about 45 Euro. But after one month you have to pay about 12 Euro each month additionally! I think, this is much too expensive for what you get.

And where is the thrill to play against some other players, you will never know, you will never meet and you will never see? I would more like to play against friends in a real game or in a network-computer-game, where I can see, how they worry, when I beat them or how the laugh, when they win against me. And when we can talk and laugh together after it. But in an online-game you often never will see your opponents again. This is just boring and senseless!

Another critic is, that such games are risky, because you have to play very long and someone could become addicted by them. Then you might forget your real life, you could lose your real friends, don't talk to them anymore, don't meet. Just sitting home in front of PC and try for hours to get another sword or other stupid thing. You waste your lifetime and don't even notice it.

Well, but if this the only opportunity to talk to a good friend and maybe rescue her for the beautiful real world, I will buy it. Without pleasure! And then there is another problem - it's absolutely not sure, that I get an account for the same server or world or realm, where the friend is playing. No chance to find and meet her then there.

Yesterday I enjoyed the warm golden October sunrays, walked in park and finally read the last story of Ian McEwan's book "First Love - Last Rites".

I began to read it already months ago. But I didn't wanted to finish it, because I liked the stories in it very much. Therefore I waited for the last story very long, and the last one hasn't been as bad as the previous ones at all, too! Now some feeling of sadness is inside me, but I already began another book by Ian McEwan.

The stories in "First Love - Last Rites" are merely about children and teenagers, adolescents. One funnier story about a husband, who is making disappear his wife, who gets on his nerves badly. One sad story about a boy, growing up in a hippie-family and found a nice woman as friend and lost her again tragically. One shattering story about a man, who has abused a little girl (particularly because the author wrote this in a readers-view).

Most stories are about teenagers, who for the first time see the other sex in a different view, with this different feeling in stomach and sex. The stories are often rather drastic but never in a pornography way. For example at first a story about a boy, who abused his younger sister to feel for the first time. But, actually, the stories show the beauty of childhood and how difficult it is, when you feel that you grow up.

In my opinion, childhood is the best and happiest period in a men's life. You don't know anything about the evil in the world, you don't have any fears or concerns about the future, you don't have to care about anything, and first of all you don't know about your own mortality, yet. The only problem is, you just know about this happiness and recognize it, just when it is over already.

Well, I don't know, but I love to read about all this very much, especially when it is written in such excellent and powerful style as Ian McEwan does. He has already become one of my most favourite authors.

Last weekend I helped with many others in carrying furniture in movement of my sisters family into a new house. It hasn't become as difficult as I have been afraid of before. Nevertheless I have been rather exhausted and tired after it. And, of course, days after it my upper arms are still aching and I have some bruises. On Sunday evening I has been with whole family in restaurant.

Yesterday here has been again Germany's National Holiday. But I stayed home and after cooking a meal I spent the time with watching movies on TV. So, I watched first "Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone" (children's movie - boring and not good!), "The Pianist" (not so bad - but expected more!) and "Red Dragon" (just good because of the excellent actors - too simple storyline!).

What a Sunday again...! Well, I haven't done anything of what I intended to do. And do I regret this? - Not at all!

I haven't clean the room, I haven't written applications, I haven't watched the Cycling-World-Championships on TV, I haven't took a shower and finally I haven't even time to cook a meal for myself so I just ate a small breakfast the entire day - but instead of all this I spent a good time...

The highlight of that day could have been the final of the European Championship of Basketball, where Germany got into surprisingly. But unfortunately they haven't any chance in the game against Greece. But it has been already a big surprise, that Germany's basketball-team reached the Final at all. So, in my opinion, Germany's basketballers can be happy of their effort. I think, they haven't lost the Gold Medal, but they have won Silver! I enjoyed very much to watch the good, tight and exciting games the last nine days.

Well, the day has been different than planned, but nevertheless very well. Initially I planned to clean the flat or to go by bike through the city, because it has been sunny - but it has come the other way. But not in the least in a worse way - I always prefer a good and nice and pleasant chat with a good old friend.

At afternoon I went to vote, because today there has been in Germany Parlamentary Election Day. At evening I have been watching a very close and exciting election coverage on TV, and an also very close and exciting basketball-match between Russia and Germany (Germany has won).

By the way: The above picture shows Thora Birch in the movie "American Beauty", who always reminds of a good and nice girl.

Welcome Back!

My back is aching very much. Yesterday I helped my brother-in-law to carry some very big flower- and plant-pots from the balcony of his apartment to the lorry to move it in the new house. Some of those pots were so big and had so much weight, that we both had to carry them. But today my back is aching very much because of it, and this was just the beginning: in the next days and weeks there will be much more work with helping renovating the house and then help to carry when moving to it.

Today there was another day of unexpected work. I spent the whole day to create a video-clip. I had to finish it rather fast, so I hadn't time to go shopping any food as I actually had to do. Therefore the only food, I ate today, were some cookies, which I fortunately found here. I just hope, the clip has been satisfactory and she and he liked it and everything went right.

When I am listening to music all day, I always think, that there is so much good music in the world, that one life is not enough to listen to all of it. And I am confident, that much of good music, which already has been composed, I never will hear of it.

I was interested in the new album by Goldfrapp, called "Supernature", so I Iistened to it the other day. I liked very much their debut album "Felt Mountain", and also the second CD "Black Cherry" hasn't been as bad. But after the first listening of the new album I have been a bit disappointed, because all titles sound a little bit the same, with the same rhythm or sound. I missed a little the mixture of the sounds, which I have been amazed of when listening to "Felt Mountain" the first time.

Well, I just can recommend, if you wanna discover a new fascinating style of electronic pop-music to listen to the album "Felt Mountain", especially its songs "Utopia", "Lovely Head" or "Felt Mountain".

Recently I also bought a concert ticket. So, End of October I am going to the concert of "The White Stripes", if I don't forget it in the long meantime.
