I has been to the doctors this morning. He said, I am pretty well and healthy. I just wonder, why I have so many aches sometimes and regularly... Well, seems, I have to get used to them.

As I've already mentioned, the other day I have read the book "Komm" ("Daj mne!") by Irina Deneshkina.

I have heard of this book about one, two years ago, when Irina Deneshkina and her book was the new big star at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Well, I thought, the critics are usually older men and older men usually like to read dirty stories written by young nice girls, and that's why they reviewed her short stories very well. And it was said, this book shows the situation, the thinking and the life of Russian teenagers in our time. So, I became interested, but also was a bit careful and sceptical.

I began to read the book not with the first story, I started with "Post Scriptum", because it was rather short and I could read it quickly. But this story hit me like a hammer in the face. I haven't expected such a thing. Such a open and dramatic language and words - and a story with something behind these words, which is not written down. I like it most and I also like the story "Valerotchka".

This reminded me a little bit of my own youth, although it never was like this, but there were some little similarities and it could have been like this, too. And what else we look for, when reading a favourite book - we look for answers of our own questions to life and we wanna see, that other people have similar life expiriences and similar questions and we are interested, how they look at that life and how they try to find those answers.

Well, finally a very good story book. But I am not sure, that I can take this for the Russian youth in general. I doubt this.

But what I have learnt and what have surprised me, was to read, that a female could feel such a big love and longing to a partner, too, as described in the story "Song for Lovers". Before, I thought only a boy can fall in love so badly, because I thought, when a girl couldn't get one partner she wants, she just hast to go to another one - it's so easy for a girl...

At weekends I usually listen to music-albums, audio-cds - because there isn't such a good programme on radio, what I actually listen to weekdays.

Lately I listened to the new album "Redbird" by Heather Nova. I like the music of Heather Nova rather well. I like her voice full of melancholy and longing connected with simple light melodies. This kind of sound can be found particularly on her former and very good albums "Oyster", "Siren", "South" and "Storm".

The new album is now a bit rockier, but not in the bad way. There is still her voice remained, what gives the songs their special touch. I especially like the songs "Welcome", "I Miss My Sky" and the cover-version of Chris Isaak's song "Wicked Game".

Today there was Day of Open Door in the buildings of the German government and ministries.

So, I took the chance as many others to get into the Bundeskanzleramt, which is similar to the White House in Washington or The Kremlin in Moscow. This is the place, where the German chancellors work and meet foreign Presidents and leaders. It was pretty interesting, but, of course, you couldn't see and go to any room there. But it was amazing to go there, because "ordinary" people are not allowed to get in there.

After it I also went to the Foreign Ministry, which was also interesting, because of the history of the building, which was built in the 1930's as a bank and later the house of the Communist Polit Bureau. Here you could visit even the personal office of the foreign minister - very interesting.

I have been to the Goya-Exhibition, which takes place here currently in the Old National Gallery on the Museum Island.

It has become usual here, obviously, when there is a great art event in Berlin, then you have to wait in ae queue first before you get in. Fortunately, it hasn't been so long as expected, but there has been a second queue inside the museum.

And what about the exhibition itself? Well, there were a lot of drawings and rather small paintings, what makes it sometimes a bit difficult to watch them with all the other groups of visitors. Nevertheless it was not so bad, but I had expected to see some of the more famous paintings by Francisco de Goya. And it wasn't as big as I thought. So, therefore at the end it has been a bit disappointing and I think, it isn't worth to wait so long to see it.

But, fortunately, I got a ticket free of charge.

I has been in my hometown at the weekend. Quite lazy, quite boring, quite relaxing, quite funny, quite good.

Yesterday was a big football-watching-day. Afternoon I watched the World Cup Qualifiers match Latvia vs. Russia live from Skonto-Stadium, Riga. Quite an intersting match, but I was wondering, when Russian Latvians has cheered? When Latvia has shot a goal or when the Russians reached the 1-1 draw?

At evening threre also was the friendly match between Holland and Germany, which is always a little bit more than friendly... Well, this match has cost me again a lot of nerves, because of the very bad German team.

Yesterday I has been also at the doctors and after midnight I couldn't again resist to look to the chat, and I have been there till almost 3 o'clock.

The weather was rather fine yesterday here, the sun was shining and the temperature got rather high. To use this rare opportunity of the last days I went to a nearby park, sat on a bench, let the warm sun shining on my face, watched the other people and children playing and relaxing, ate a piece of cake, read a book. I was right to do so, because today it is again raining and rather cold.

Well, the last days and weeks, I have again much time to do other things. I have time to watch videos, as "Meet Joe Black", "Man On Fire", "Requiem For A Dream" or "Lovesong For Bobby Long". I have so much time, that I have began to play some computer-games, as "Uru - Ages Beyond Myst". I have time to listen to some CDs. And I have even so much time to read a book!

And I have begun to chat. I do this when boredom and loneliness become just too big. Thus rather often, especially at evenings and nights. I found a place for it at the German Yahoo. I have chat there only for about two weeks, but I have already met some people there. It's really easier to chat in your own native language. It's sometimes really funny there, but rather difficult to have with someone a real honest and detailed conversation. Mostly I talk about cinema, because one chatroom there, where I am most of the time, is called "Kino-Hits". But mainly it is talked about flirting and anything like this...(in a non-serious way)

I have been in cinema today to watch "The Island".

Well, I admit it, first of all I've decided to watch it, because Scarlett Johansson acts in it. But I also like Ewan McGregor (as an actor, of course!) and the trailer, I've seen, has reminded me of a movie, that I have seen on TV when I was a teenager, which has impressed me rather much at this time. It has been "Logan's Run".

Well, the critics of "The Island" hasn't been very well here, and it hasn't started very well the first weekend in the States and here in Germany, so I haven't expected very much.

I expected just a movie full of explosions and special effects with a weak story. But, hey, this wasn't like this! Well, okay, of course, there are a lot of shootings and explosions - I guess, no action-thriller-blockbuster-movie can be without it today. So, what?! And it wasn't made so badly. And, yes, some facts of the storyline has been a bit confusing, not plausible and some details of the world in the year 2019 has been just a bit too fantastic and not thinkable (particularly that flying motobike and the fall from the skyscraper).

But there has been something in this movie, what could cause people to think. To think about the human nature and the future of mankind. What a human being is and what it means, to be a human being. Well, I cannot agree to the bad critics, I liked this movie. Especially the end of it, when the clones get free. This has been a good and emotional scene. And the music of this film has also been rather remarkable.

And, what should I say about Scarlett Johansson? Oh man, you should see that movie! She is just gorgeous! This face, these lips... She has been filmed frequently in closeups, right to her face and this was not a mistake at all! But, actually, I don't like blonde girls...!
